Friends

hi.
I went home this weekend and had a great time. My old highschool football team won their game, my old marching band won many awards at their competition, AND Bama beat Georgia, who by the way was ranked number three in the AP poll, when we were ranked number eight!!! That was such a great game, I was so proud of them. I wish I could have been there with the rest of the band, but its ok, my time will come.
This week is gonna be great, hopefully. I am gonna be very positive.
Tonights topic is friends. Old ones, new ones, and ones that are to come. Last week was the one year anniversary of the last time I talked to my ex-best friend. It was her birthday, and the funny thing is, I really am not sad at all. It came and went without any complication. I hope she does well in her life, wherever it may go. I really love my old friends that are still my friends now. I miss the ones who are too busy to talk to me now, but I know I will talk with them sometime. I'm glad I still have so many friends that I am still in contact with from my old life.
They are amazing. The ones that are newly made, well, I don't know what I would do without them. They keep me going. I have one in particular that I want to talk about. He is not doing so well right now. He wont talk to me and I really miss him. Some things have happened and he is really depressed about them. I told him that I will be here for him when he wants to talk, but I'm not sure he will. I just don't know what to do. Do I call him? Leave him alone? Its all messed up. I hope we will still be friends because I love him to death.
Anyway, I continue to love the place my life is in right now, I miss my home, but this is the place I am supposed to be. If I had to be anywhere but home, with my family, I wouldn't choose anywhere else.
I have been following a philosophy all summer that has worked and continues to work. Everything is gonna be ok. No matter what, just be positive, and put your focus point in front of you, and keep on trucking. I have lived by this philosophy and I will continue to do so. Feel free to try it, it works. Thats it for tonight, hopefully, i will have time to write tomorrow night. Until then, goodnight and have a good week. =]

Pumped for the Weekend

Hello again. Today is another short day, I had my history discussion class at 12:30, and band at 4:00. I had to turn in my Cicero paper in class and it took me forever to finish it. Cicero has a very brilliant mind, but he is so hard to understand. His philosophy is different from anybody elses i have evr read about.
Anyway, I just can't wait until this weekend. I am going to my high school's football game on Firday night. Then, on Saturday, my high school's marching band, has a competition in Phenix City. I am very excited to see the band perform and seeing all my friends, that are seniors this year, experience one of their last ever high school band comepetitions. It was a great time in my life, and I hope that they have an experience that was as good as mine. It was a very special time and I hope they realize that. Oh, and something else that I'm excited for is the ALABAMA v. GEORGIA game, of course. What kind of roll tide fan would I be if I wasn't totally pumped?! My family is as excited as I am, so we're going to be "tailgating" at the band competition. I am really glad also, that I get to spend my last weekend to leave campus until fall break, with not only my family, but my "band family" from high shcool.
ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Intro to my blog

Hello.
This is my first official blog post. Let me just say that I am so excited to have my very own blog. I have always wanted to have something like this, but I had no idea that anything like this existed. I heard about it about ten minutes ago from one of my friends/roommates, Meagan. She has her own blog, and so I decided to get one!
My name is Anna and I am a freshman at The University of Alabama. I am in the Million Dollar Band and for those who don't know what that is, it's our marching band. I absolutely love it, the music, the people, the atmosphere is... amazing. There is no other word for it.
Anyway, today was one of my short days, because I only have one class. My geography lab, it starts at 1:00 and ends at 2:50. I'm really interested in geography, but I don't really like the lab, it just seems like busy work to me. Today, we had to hike around campus, picking out GPS points of different buildings. It was hot and gross outside. All I wanted to do was go back to the classroom and sit in the air conditioning. Then, of course like everyday, i had band practice from 4:00 until 5:30. Yes, it was hot then too, but I actually enjoy practice. I know, I know, I guess that considers me a geek, but I don't care, because it's something that I love. So...ha!
Just to let you know, I am very random person, with very random thoughts running through my head. So, just bare with me.
I will continue to write everyday, so just keep reading. =]
